The Activ Roof Process
In Texas coastal counties, construction building codes are more strict due to the storm activity we experience here. In roofing in particular, there are specific material guidelines and installation procedures we must follow to adhere to these guidelines. In the coastal counties, we must schedule a windstorm inspector to verify our materials, and visually inspect the beginning of the roof installation before they give us the permission to continue the entire install.

At Activ Roofing of Houston, we have adopted a standard for our roofing projects that no matter where the project is located, we will install that roof to meet Texas Windstorm Code, regardless if a certificate is required or not. What does that mean for you? It means that if your house was located right on the beach near the Gulf, your roof would pass inspection according to Texas Windstorm Code. Every roof we install will have a 130-mph wind rating or better.
Activ Roofing of Houston has partnered with GAF and we are GAF Certified. Every roof installed by Activ Roofing of Houston qualifies for a GAF System Plus warranty, which will give you a true non-prorated 50 year manufacturer warranty on your roof.
Roof Repairs
If you’ve noticed a leak in your home or have noticed something doesn’t look right on your roof, call Activ Roofing of Houston for a complimentary inspection. We perform small to large repairs, as well as pipe jack replacement, Hip & Ridge shingle replacement, ventilation replacement, satellite dish removal, and pipe jack retrofit booting.
Roof Maintenance
Every roof has a functional lifespan. As your roof ages, so do many of the components, sealants, adhesives, painted surfaces, and overall condition of the roof. Activ Roofing of Houston’s “Roof Tune-Up” is your “oil-change for your roof”. Just like maintaining your vehicle, your roof requires some attention as well. Our “Roof Tune-Up” process involves resealing all exposed nails after the original caulk has worn off, painting all metal components on the roof, re-fastening lifted flashing areas, and blowing out debris from valleys and gutters to prevent any water accumulation that may cause leaks. Ask about our annual maintenance plan that includes an annual inspection as well as debris removal from roof surface and gutters.
